First — check your Fire TV model
Amazon's newest budget sticks run a new Linux-based system called Vega OS, which CANNOT sideload Android apps or use the Downloader app. If you have a Vega OS model, install a player from the Amazon Appstore if one is offered for your device, or just set up on another device instead (Android TV box, phone, tablet or PC — see the tabs above). Not sure? Settings › My Fire TV › About shows your model.

First, install the Downloader app
- 1Turn on sideloading: Settings › My Fire TV › Developer Options › turn ON “Apps from Unknown Sources” (on some models it's Settings › Device & Software, or you'll be asked to allow Downloader when it first installs an app).
- 2From the Fire TV home screen, open Find › Search (the magnifying-glass tile).
- 3Type “Downloader” and pick the orange Downloader app (by AFTVnews).
- 4Choose Get / Download, wait for it to install, then Open it. If asked, allow it to install unknown apps.
Then pick an app
TiviMate
Recommended- 1In the Downloader URL box, type the code 272483 and press Go.
- 2When the download finishes, choose Install, then Open.
- 3In TiviMate, choose Add Playlist › Xtream Codes.
- 4Enter the Server URL, Username and Password from your welcome email.
IPTV Smarters Pro
Free- 1In the Downloader URL box, type a code above, press Go, then Install and Open.
- 2Choose the TV layout, then select “Login with Xtream Codes API”.
- 3Enter any name, plus your Username, Password and URL from your welcome email.
You'll find your Server URL, Username and Password in your welcome email (check spam). If you had a trial and then subscribed, your login details are new.
Troubleshooting
It can take a few minutes to populate after a fresh install, and some apps need EPG turned on in settings. Reopen the app and make sure you logged in with Xtream Codes / XC API.
Buffering is almost always a local network issue. Try a wired connection or restart your router, and close other bandwidth-heavy apps. A quick app restart also helps.
Re-enter your details exactly as they appear in your welcome email (they're case-sensitive). If you had a trial and then subscribed, your login is new — use the latest email.
Try the 4 R's: refresh the app, restart the device, reinstall the app, or restore your login. If one channel stays black, email support with the channel name.
